Ready Or Not Emergency Preparedness Event

As I have mentioned before, I’m a scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 902.  This past weekend, my boys in conjunction with members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hosted and carried out an Emergency Preparedness Event known as Ready or Not.  The event was used to promote emergency preparedness.  Local officials had booths open to the community.  This is the third year the event has taken place.  However, this year was different as there was a special ceremony for 9/11.  Some government officials were present and the ceremony included a 21 Gun Salute and C130 Plane flyover.  The event was a success as about 425 people were in attendance for the ceremony and over 500 total for the event.  I had the privilege of capturing the ceremony and some of the events which took place.

It’s always fun to photograph something I don’t normally photograph.  Here are some photos from the day.
